Wien 11, größter Friedhof Wiens (240 ha), 1874 eingeweiht, seither mehrmals erweitert. Mittelpunkt ist die Kuppelkirche (Lueger-Gedächtniskirche, mit dem Sarkophag Luegers im Gruftraum), ein Zentralbau in secessionistischem Stil, von 
[Maximilian Hegele|AEIOU/Hegele,_Maximilian] 1908-10/11 erbaut; davor Gruft der Bundespräsidenten der 2. Republik. Vom Hauptportal (1905 von Hegele) ausgehend beiderseits der Mittelallee die "Ehrengräber berühmter Persönlichkeiten", zum Teil aus aufgelassenen Friedhöfen hierher übertragen (L. van Beethoven, F. Schubert); nach links die "Gräber historisch denkwürdiger Personen"; Arkadengrüfte mit prunkvollen Grabstätten (1902 vollständig belegt).


Kriegergrabstätte der Gemeinde Wien von [Anton Hanak|Biographien/Hanak,_Anton] (1925); Gedenkanlage für die Opfer im Kampf um Österreichs Freiheit 1934-45; Grab für die Opfer des Ringtheaterbrandes; Sonnblickdenkmal. Der Zentralfriedhof hat auch eine evangelische (1904 eröffnet), eine israelitische (1. Tor; Neuer Israelit. Friedhof, 5. Tor) und eine russisch-orthodoxe Abteilung (Kapelle, 1894).
