Abend, Der (Evening): newspaper founded as a counterpart to "Morgen" 
(Morning) in 1915, took an aggressive and polemic stance from 1918; 
characterised by social democratic to communist opinions. Discontinued 
on Feb. 16, 1934; succeeded by the Communist Party newspaper "Der 
Telegraph", 1948-1957.
