b. around 1010, 
d. Lambach (Upper Austria), Oct. 9, 1090, 1045 Bishop of Wuerzburg. 
Last in the line of the Counts of Lambach. Established a Benedictine 
monastery in the former college of canons at Lambach in 1056 (buried 
in the monastery church). From 1076 on, A. took the side of the Pope 
in the investiture controversy, whereupon he was ousted from Wuerzburg 
in 1085. His Vita was written around 1200.
