b. Vienna, Dec. 4, 1930, avantgarde artist (films, fine arts, 
literature). Studied sculpture at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts; 
main focus on aspects of movement in the various artistic media; 
pioneered  Avant-garde Film in Austria;  1970-73 Professor at the 
''Hochschule fuer bildende Kuenste'' at Hamburg, subsequently held 
teaching positions in Germany, Britain and the USA.
