b. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Dec. 8, 1873, 
d. Graz (Styria), July 7, 1924, initially a carpenter's apprentice, 
then editor of the "Arbeiterwillen" ("worker's will"); father of Josef 
 Afritsch. In 1908 founded the Oesterreichische  Kinderfreunde in 
Graz.
