Afro-Asian Institute in Vienna, religious foundation and public-law 
corporation, founded in 1959 by Cardinal F.  Koenig upon the 
initiative of M.  Ottilinger. Provides support for students from 
Africa and Asia; study grants, student dormitories, international 
education and social centre, gallery, cafeteria, information centre, 
Christian community centre, mosque, Hindu temple. Active in umbrella 
organisations for development co-operation.
