Agrolinz Melamin GmbH, underwent several re-structurings until 1994; 
present company headquarters in Linz. Wholly-owned subsidiary of  OMV 
AG, arose from the Oesterreichische Stickstoffwerke (Austrian nitrogen 
works, since 1973  Chemie Linz AG). The company produces and sells 
plant foods, melamine/carbamide and animal feed as well as pesticides. 
It is the second largest melamine producer in the world and Austria's 
market leader in plant foods and pesticides. Revenues in 1997 amounted 
to approx. ATS 4.2 bn with 1,130 employees.
