!!!Ahornboden

Ahornboden, Great and Small Ahornboden, area in the Karwendel 
Mountains, on the Rissbach stream west of Lake Achensee, alt. 
1200-1400 m; part of a Tyrolean/Bavarian landscape and 
conservation area (of which approx. 720 km%%sup 2/% has belonged 
to North Tyrol since 1928). This sparsely populated and closed-off 
forest area in the northern Alps is characterised by its old maple 
(=Ahorn) groves.
