Aigner, Carl, b. Ried im Innkreis (Upper Austria), Sept. 12, 
1954. Art historian, special subject: photography. University lecturer 
since 1989; founder (1991) and editor of the photography, media and 
art magazine "Eikon". From 1995 curator of photography and 
new media at the Kunsthalle Krems museum, since 1997 its artistic 
director; since 2000 project director of the Department of Cultural 
Studies at the Donau-Universitaet Krems (Danube University of Krems).
