Brueggelekopf mountain in the Bregenzerwald forest. - Tourism (48,249 
overnight stays), A. power plant (built 1992, 97,600 MWh) and 
Langenegg power plant (built 1979, 227,500 MWh); timber processing. - 
First documented 1227, town symbol is an 800-year-old lime tree near 
the parish church; chapel (Merbod's Martyrdom, 1120).
