b. Vienna, Dec. 18, 1418, 
d. Vienna, Dec. 2, 1463, son of Archduke  Ernst of Inner Austria (the 
Iron Duke). 1446 Regent of the south-western dominions and 1458-1463 
of the dominions north of the River Enns, opened an attack against his 
brother  Friedrich III, who after besieging Vienna Castle in 1462 
yielded to him the exterior provinces south of the River Enns.
