!!!Alpenostrand

Alpenostrand (Alps, eastern edge of): collective term for landscapes 
in eastern Austria at the transition from the Alps to the flatlands of 
the  Vienna Basin in the north and the  Graz Basin in the south. In 
between, the eastern edge of the Alps drops off to the east in the 
area of the  Bucklige Welt, the  Rosaliengebirge Mountains and the  
Wechsel Region and forms the transition to the Hungarian lowland 
plains in the Oedenburg Mountains (Brennberg, 517 m) and the 
Guenser Bergland mountains (Geschriebenstein, 883 m).
