Altlengbach Strata, most important stone formation in the Flysch zone 
in the Vienna Woods, mainly of sandstone, which in earlier times was 
exploited in numerous quarries as construction stone, formed in the 
late Cretaceous and early Tertiary periods approximately 60-70 million 
years ago.
