Altrhein, Vorarlberg, old bed of the Rhine from which the Rhine was 
diverted to Lake Constance in 1900; forms the border to Switzerland. 
The "Rhine Delta" conservation area is located in the adjacent cove 
and reed belt (bird migration route).
