Altvaeter, name of former original weights and standard measures, at 
first in the Zimentamt (Cement Authority), after its dissolution in 
the Salzamtsgebaeude (Salt Authority Building); since 1787 in the 
possession of the municipality of Vienna, now in the Historisches 
Museum der Stadt Wien.
