!!!Amon Ammon, Blasius

b. Imst (Tyrol), around 1560, 
d. Vienna, 1590, singer with the court orchestra of Archduke Ferdinand 
II in Innsbruck and later at Heiligenkreuz; from 1587 Franciscan monk 
in Vienna. Composed predominantly church music and was one of the 
first north of the Alps to in introduce elements of Venetian music.
