Official Gazette (German: Amtsblatt), publication of official news in 
newspaper form. The Amtsblatt in the Wiener Zeitung contains public 
announcements pertaining to the  Company Register from all over 
Austria, court injunctions requiring official public announcement 
(called "Edikte"), invitations to tender, etc. The Official Gazettes 
published in the federal provinces of Austria are predominantly of 
regional interest. The official gazettes of the Federal Ministries of 
Justice, of Finance and other ministries contain promulgations, 
official instructions and birth, death and marriage notices which are 
also considered significant outside the respective ministry's sphere 
of activity. The Official Gazette of the EU also contains 
announcements which are important for Austria.
