b. Margreid (South Tyrol), April 17, 1930, composer and musicologist. 
1964-1970 involved in the South Tyrolean conflict; 1990-1995 director 
of the Feldkirch conservatory (Vorarlberg), composed mainly vocal 
music, studied under C.  Bresgen but developed a completely different 
style.
