b. Vornbach am Inn (Germany), Sept. 20, 1835, 
d. Nice (France), April 10, 1914; father of Leopold  Andrian-Werburg; 
geologist, anthropologist, established the Anthropological Society in 
Vienna (1870), which he headed from 1882-1902; scientific and 
ethnological research, especially in Bosnia, Herzegovina and the 
Aussee region of Austria ("Die Altausseer", 1905).
