d. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), April 20, 1944, geographer, politician of 
the Pan-German People's Party (Grossdeutsche Volkspartei), secondary 
school teacher, accomplished glacier researcher (Hohe Tauern mountains 
in the Alps). 1907-1933 member of the Landtag of Carinthia, 1918-1919 
member of the Carinthian provincial committee, 1927-1931 Landesrat in 
Carinthia (member of the Carinthian provincial government), 1919-1920 
member of the Constituent National Assembly, 1920-1927 representative 
in the Nationalrat.
