Detention Camps (Anhaltelager): internment camps in Woellersdorf and 
Kaisersteinbruch (Lower Austria) 1933-1938 for illegally active 
National Socialists, Social Democrats, Communists and other people 
deemed "subversive". Police authorities sent people to these camps on 
the basis of "suspicion of illegal activity" without a trial or 
sentence.
