b. Gross-Jedlersdorf (Lower Austria), June 23, 1877, 
d. Velden (Carinthia), Sept. 25, 1950, metallurgical engineer. Worked 
with H.  Fleissner on the development of the coal-drying process. 
1922-1934 Director General of the  Oesterreichisch-Alpine 
Montangesellschaft. 1934 detained because of his involvement in the 
July Putsch.
