Boehlau, Verlag Ges. m. b. H. & Co. KG, publishing 
house, founded by K. Rauch in 1947. Boehlau specializes in history, 
social science, art, architecture, political science and legal history 
and has created an impressive range of publications in the field of 
cultural studies. In 1987, Boehlau entered into partnership with the 
scientific book selling company Minerva and thus became part of the 
worldwide distribution system of the scientific Springer publishing 
house. Approximately 100 new titles are published every year; close 
connections to the Boehlau Verlag at Cologne and Weimar (Germany).
