d. Vienna, Jan. 20, 1973, surgeon; father of Joerg  Boehler. 
University professor, founder of modern emergency surgery, head of the 
emergency hospital in the 20th district of Vienna, which became the 
archetype for similar institutions world-wide. B. developed a new 
treatment for bone fractures through a special technique of 
immobilization. Founder and head of the Stollhof rehabilitation centre 
in Klosterneuburg.
