b. Vienna, March 6, 1904,d. Salzburg, Jan. 8, 1998. Catholic and 
pan-German journalist, 1928-1941 staff member and editor of the  
"Schoenere Zukunft, Die" newspaper, 1938 given by the National 
Socialists the job of editing the  "Reichspost" newspaper. 1947 
co-editor of the periodical  "Wort und Wahrheit", 1963-1973 
editor-in-chief of the conservative Catholic weekly "Rheinischer 
Merkur" (Cologne; Bonn).
