Buergerblock, name of the coalition government formed after the 
parliamentary election in 1920; composed of Christian-Socialists and 
German Nationalists (Grossdeutsche and Landbund), later also including 
paramilitary forces (Heimwehr); names associated with the Buergerblock 
are I.  Seipel and J.  Schober.
