b. Lvív, Ukraine (then Lemberg), Aug. 13, 1874,
d. London (United Kingdom), Jan. 30, 1947, music expert and critic,
founded the Workers´ Symphony Concerts in Vienna in 1906;
1918-1922 published together with J. Bittner the musical magazine
"Merker"; 1919-1933 founded and headed the Social Democratic art
centre. Emigrated to London in 1940.
