Bakalowits & Soehne, E., Vienna glassware retailer, founded 1845, sale of Jugendstil glasses and crystal chandeliers crafted after sketches by K. Moser and J. M. Olbrich. Winner of the bronze medal at the 1900 Paris world exhibition, participation in exhibitions at home and abroad. The company furnished the whole of the Neue Hofburg Palace (Vienna) with chandeliers in the late 19th century and also produced those needed for the reconstruction of the Redoutensaele halls after the fire in 1995. Today the company has a strong export branch.
