b. Laakirchen (Upper Austria), July 16, 1940, jurist and manager. 
Worked in the Federal Chancellery 1963-1965, has worked for AUA ( 
Austrian Airlines Oesterreichische Luftverkehrs AG) since 1965; from 
1970 Secretary General, from 1975 deputy managing director for various 
departments, 1993-2001 managing director, together with Mario  
Rehulka.
