journalist. 1961-1977 press officer of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra; 
1965-1995 editor of the newspaper  "Salzburger Nachrichten", 
since 1995 editor-in-chief; since 1972 also editor-in-chief of the 
economic journal "Der oesterreichische Volkswirt". 1997-2000 
moderator of the television series "Zur Sache".
