!!!Barmherzige Schwestern

Sisters of Mercy (Barmherzige Schwestern), popular term designating
female congregations involved in the care of the sick and needy. In
the stricter sense, Sisters of Mercy are only those congregations
which have the terms "love" or "mercy" in their name: the Sisters of
Mercy of St. Vincent of Paul (motherhouses in Vienna, Graz,
Innsbruck), the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross (seat of the
Provincial Superior in Graz, Salzburg, Laxenburg), the Congregation of
the Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent of Paul (Austrian name
Borromaeerinnen, motherhouse in Vienna), the Sisters of Mercy of the
Teutonic Order (motherhouse in Friesach), the Sisters of Mercy of the
motherhouse in Zams in Tirol; the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary
(seat of the Provincial Superior in Vienna). Hospitals run by Sisters
of Mercy are in the towns of Linz, Ried im Innkreis, Zams, Innsbruck
and Vienna.
