Bartholomaeberg, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Bregenz, 
alt. 1,087 m, pop. 2,137, area 27.28 km%%sup 2/%, winter and 
summer tourist resort (105,954 overnight stays) at the entrance of 
Silbertal valley, southeast of the town of Bludenz; mechanical 
industry; oldest settlement in the Montafon Mountains (first 
documentary mention 1383) in an old mining area (iron ore, silver and 
copper mining); Baroque parish church (1732) with Gothic miners' altar 
(approx. 1525) and glass paintings (approx. 1575), high altar (1740), 
magnificent organ (1792), Romanesque processional cross (12%%sup th/%  
century).
