!!!Barylli, Walter

b. Vienna, June 16, 1921, violinist, father of G.  Barylli. Studied in 
Vienna with F. Mairecker and in Munich with F. von Reuter, concert 
debut in 1936, since 1938 member of the State Opera Orchestra in 
Vienna and of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, of which he became 
concert master in 1939; gave many concerts both in Europe and overseas 
playing with his own Barylli Quartet, founded in 1945; numerous 
recordings, (e.g. with J.  Demus).
