b. Vienna, March 24, 1766, 
d. Linz (Upper Austria), July 24, 1839, poet. Known as "Sappho of 
Vienna", married to the Hungarian writer János B., hailed as 
the greatest Austrian poet of her time. 1785-1796 her works were 
published in the "Vienna Muse Almanac" ("Wiener Musen-Almanach"). 
Love, friendship, nature and historical events are the main themes of 
her poetry. Friend of T. von Artner and K.  Pichler.
