BauWelt, a co-operative group in the building material wholesale and 
retail trade that has its headquarters in Vienna, founded in 1976, 42 
shops, 32 of which are Baumarkt retailer's shops, 1600 staff, total 
turnover of 4.2 thousand million ATS in 1993. The BauWelt group also 
has a subsidiary company with shops in three locations in Hungary.
