!!!Bayer, Herbert

b. Haag am Hausruck (Upper Austria), April 5, 1900, 
d. Montecito (USA), Sept. 30, 1985, graphic designer, painter, 
photographer, studied at the Bauhaus School of Architecture & Arts and 
Crafts in Weimar, innovative use of photography in his early works, 
1925-1928 head of the advertisement and typography workshop at the 
Bauhaus School in Dessau, then worked for advertising agencies and art 
exhibitions in Berlin; emigrated to the USA, where he took on various 
jobs in the fields of graphic design, painting, architecture and 
landscape planning.
