d. Vienna, June 27, 1842, industrialist; established in Pottendorf 
with Baron G. S.  Sina the first Austrian machine-operated hemp and 
flax spinning mill in 1838, instrumental in the establishment of the 
Austrian National Bank, of which he was director for 23 years.
