!!!Berthold von Zähringen

b. around 1022, 
d. Limburg near Weilheim (Germany), Nov. 6, 1078, Swabian nobleman 
(name derived from the castle near Freiburg in Breisgau). 1061 became 
Duke of Carinthia, in the investiture controversy was loyal to Rudolf 
von Rheinfelden and opposed Heinrich IV; denied access to 
Carinthia by the ruling House of  Eppenstein and was eventually 
deposed in 1077.
