d. Vienna, April 20, 1959, actor, director, writer; 
Kammerschauspieler; 1927-1959 member of the Vienna Burgtheater 
company, mainly in modern plays featuring witty dialogue in an upper 
class setting, from 1936 additional work as a director; film work; 
president of the project "Artists in Aid of Artists" and chairman of 
the theatre actors´s trade union; 1934 Burgtheater Ring of 
Honour.
