d. Kaumberg (Lower Austria), April 24, 1945, pioneer in the field of 
cycle racing and motoring in Austria; 1893 founded with H. Opel the 
first cycling school and the car firm Opel & B. in Vienna; 
won several "penny-farthing" races and set several records.
