b. Vienna, Oct. 30, 1939, cultivation technology engineer. 1974-2000 
university professor of Sanitary Engineering, Industrial Water 
Resources Engineering and Water Conservation at the Vienna University 
of Agricultural Sciences. 1981-1985 and 1989-1991 rector of the Vienna 
University of Agricultural Sciences, 1989-1991 in addition chairman of 
the Austrian Rectors´ Conference. His work and publications deal 
with many basic questions regarding water resources and water 
resources engineering in Austria.
