b. Hohenems (Vorarlberg), March 26, 1950, pop singer, originally 
teacher. Began his career together with the author M.  Koehlmeier; 
achieved international success with hits such as "Video Life" (1981), 
"In the Night" and "Nothing but a Heartache". Also writes radio plays, 
screenplays and cabaret programmes.
