Biodiesel, rape methyl ester, fuel for diesel vehicles produced from 
rape seed. First sold in Austria at Gablitz (Lower Austria) in 1990. 
As opposed to conventional diesel, biodiesel can attack certain 
plastic parts; in some cases, oil changes have to be carried out more 
frequently.
