National Socialist functionary, after 1938 town councillor, 3rd, then 
1st deputy mayor of Vienna responsible for cultural affairs, Dec. 30, 
1943 - April 6, 1945 mayor of Vienna. 1948 sentenced to 6 years in 
prison.
