b. Vienna, Jan. 16, 1880, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 19, 1947, painter, studied at the Vienna Academy under 
C.  Griepenkerl; numerous study trips, member of the Vienna Secession, 
1911-1920 member of the Hagenbund (artists´ association), 
1938/39 head of the Vienna Kuenstlerhaus, focused on the painting of 
landscapes, architecture and portraits.
