Flower Carnival, until 1914 annual parade of decorated horse carriages 
in the main avenue of the Prater park in Vienna; first introduced in 
1886 as part of a spring celebration organized by Pauline Metternich. 
Today, such flower carnivals are also organized on a local basis, e.g. 
narcissus carnival at Mariazell and Bad Aussee (Styria).
