Breitenbrunn, Burgenland, market town in the district of Eisenstadt 
Umgebung, alt. 145 m, pop. 1,570, area 25.75 km%%sup 2/%, 
situated on the fringe of the Leithagebirge mountains north of Lake 
Neusiedl. - Recreation area, summer tourism (23,158 overnight stays), 
confectionery industry, beverage production, viticulture, fruit 
growing. Fortified tower 22 m in height, remains of the 
fortification, museum; fortified church (originally Gothic), altered 
in 1675 (Baroque style); wine growers´ houses, beautiful avenue 
with wine cellars on either side.
