Breitenlee, village in the western Marchfeld (largest plain in Lower 
Austria), since 1938 part of the 22%%sup nd/%  district of Vienna. 
Developed around 1700 (church built in 1699). Farming estate of the 
Iro-Scottish monks in Vienna, destroyed in 1529, resettled after 1694, 
cemetery of the Scots after 1784, damaged during the battle at Aspern 
(part of the 22%%sup nd/%  district of Vienna).
