b. Vienna, Jan. 30, 1963, author of books for children. Won 
international fame especially with his series of books "Die 
Knickerbockerbande", "Tom Turbo" and "Bronti Super-Saurier". The 
series "Die Knickerbockerbande" in particular, which was adapted for 
the screen, made him the most successful contemporary Austrian author 
of children´s books. B. also presents TV shows for children, 
writes songs and film scripts. Awarded the Grand Austrian Youth Prize 
for the script of the television puppet series "Tim, Tom und Dominik".
