b. Vienna, Sept. 6, 1835, 
d. Vienna, April 3, 1888, comedian, singer. Debut in Graz, joined the 
Vienna Court Opera in 1859, then director of theatres in Wiener 
Neustadt and Teplitz (now Teplice); 1865 at the Theater in der 
Josefstadt in Vienna, 1868-1870 director of this theatre together with 
H. Boernstein; 1875 member of the company, from 1883/84 also head of 
the Vienna Stadttheater, after 1884 member of the company of the 
Burgtheater.
